At the 24 Hours of Le Mans – June 10 to 15, 2025

La Chevrolière, May 2025 – On the occasion of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, taking place from June 10 to 15, 2025, FÉTIS Group will exclusively present its brand-new hybrid power generator, the H100-ICE — an innovative and sustainable solution for on-site power generation.

A Concrete Response to Energy Transition Challenges

Designed to meet the growing demands of decarbonization, the H100-ICE runs on hydrogen and is fully aligned with the French National Strategy for Decarbonized Hydrogen, particularly for use in the maritime sector to electrify docked vessels.

This next-generation generator significantly reduces the environmental footprint of temporary installations: carbon emissions are reduced by 70% compared to traditional diesel generators, while other pollutants (NOx and particulates) are completely eliminated.

Fully developed and assembled at the FÉTIS Group industrial site in La Chevrolière (Loire-Atlantique, France), the H100-ICE is powered by a Perkins engine and features 100% hydrogen combustion technology. Quieter and more environmentally friendly, it is engineered for demanding environments and ideally suited for maritime use, with strong resistance to salty air.

With the H100-ICE, FÉTIS Group reaffirms its commitment to the energy transition and to building a cleaner, more innovative industry.

The new H100-ICE hydrogen generator developed by FÉTIS Group offers an innovative alternative to traditional diesel units, particularly for events, rental applications, or on-site energy production.

Especially suitable for settings where reducing carbon emissions and pollutants is a priority, this system can also utilize by-product hydrogen from industrial processes and converting it into electricity that can be reinjected into the grid a circular and efficient solution supporting the energy transition

FÉTIS Group celebrating 45 Years of SECODI: A Journey of Innovation and Growth

Published on Nov. 10, 2023

SECODI, the founding company of the FÉTIS Group, recently marked its 45th anniversary. The milestone was commemorated with a “GET TOGETHER” event in September, bringing together the group’s employees from the French subsidiaries to celebrate this journey.

Founded by Jacques and Marie-Paule Fétis, SECODI embarked on its transformative journey four and a half decades ago. The early years were not without challenges, with the founders navigating both the intricacies of building a business and the complexities of family life. As the company grew, their children became integral to the daily operations, a true family commitment to the business.

One pivotal moment in the company’s history was when Damien Fétis, son of the founders and now president of the group, received his first engine to disassemble and rebuild. This hands-on experience not only provided a playful insight into the company’s challenges but also laid the foundation for a deeper understanding of SECODI’s mission.

From humble beginnings representing only 4% of France, SECODI steadily expanded its footprint, reaching every corner of the country and growing its team to 650 individuals. Over the years, the company has undergone significant evolution and diversification. While initially focused on being distributors of parts and engines, the last two decades have seen a strategic shift towards becoming system integrators. SECODI now brings more specialized expertise to the table, positioning itself as a key player in the realm of mobility innovation.

In a momentous celebration on September 14th, the FÉTIS Group orchestrated its inaugural intercompany gathering, uniting 300 team members for a day of camaraderie and festivity at Chateau des Marais, near Nantes. Damien Fétis, the President of FÉTIS Group, underscored the significance of this unique gathering.

“It is the first time that we gathered together in this way as a group[…]. Even though the organization has grown from 4 people to 600, we are still strongly attached to our original identity as a family business. This was simply an opportunity to celebrate our identity, our pride in being together and in what we achieve every day.”

The event was not just about reflection and celebration; it was also a platform to share exciting advancements with the wider team. FÉTIS Group took the opportunity to showcase two of its decarbonation technology projects:

  1. EvolE – The Autonomous Off-Road Robotics Platform developped by Dintec, an example of our capabilities in autonomous off-road robotics.
  2. IndHYgo – The hydrogen Powered Genset developped by GeniWat, an example of our dedication to decarbonation and fostering environmentally friendly power generation.

As an active participant in the field of innovation in mobility, SECODI’s 45-year journey is a testament to its adaptability, expertise, and commitment to pushing the boundaries.

SYMBIO and FÉTIS Group are proud to announce a partnership aimed at propelling the market for low carbon off-road mobility with fuel cell technology. This collaboration, formalized on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Hyvolution exhibition, reflects a shared commitment to making hydrogen the driving force behind the decarbonation of machines for agriculture and construction and other off-road applications.

Putting Hydrogen at the Core of Off-Road Decarbonation

The FÉTIS Group brings knowledge of machine architecture and duty cycles, as well as deep experience in machine system integration. This is a great match for the hydrogen fuel cell technology that is designed and manufactured by Symbio. This partnership is a natural evolution arising from the success of previous collaborations on the FÉTIS Group’s initial hydrogen projects.

Philippe Rosier, CEO of Symbio, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Symbio’s fuel cell technology adapts seamlessly to all forms of mobility without compromising performance. This agreement allows us to efficiently deploy our hydrogen solutions beyond on-road mobility, where we have already established promising references. We are thrilled about this collaboration with a committed partner like the FÉTIS Group, showcasing the richness of our French ecosystem.”

Yannick BILLY, CEO of the Power System Division at FÉTIS Group, emphasized the pivotal nature of the partnership, stating, “This marks a turning point in the life of the FÉTIS Group. By supporting manufacturers in the design of new machines and users in the transformation of existing machines to achieve Carbon Neutrality, we can accelerate the Energy Transition of machines. This, in turn, addresses the climate and environmental challenges of tomorrow.”

The signing of this protocol is not just a formal agreement but a commitment to a shared vision – a vision where hydrogen becomes a catalyst for change, powering a new era of clean and efficient off-road mobility.
